We suggest you plug-in some headphones so you can have a clear monitoring of what you are recording, including your own voice (during preparation phase).
The first step is then to configure your microphone for Practice pane. This will ensure your voice/instrument comes out nice and clear.
If you want to save as MP3, also follow the instructions on how to set that up on your system. Then select the As MP3 button.
Once done, you can configure your practice session the way you want, selecting the raga of your choice, the pitch, the tempo, the rhythmic instrument/cycle, the melodic instrument/cycle, the tanpuras you want, etc...
Then, if you want live accompaniment and have a MIDI controller, you can connect it and start playing a few notes of the selected melodic instrument. Or else you can switch to PITCH pane, and select With Accompaniment (with maybe Catch Up set to 1 so only last note is echoed) or With Support modes, to have a live support of the instrument on your pitch.
Once that is all set, you can adjust the levels/panning of each instrument. Possibly add effects to them.
Then check channels 1 & 2 to include your voice, and there play your instruments while you sing. Thus you can adjust the global balance between your voice and the performance using the mic and speaker volume sliders on GLOBAL pane.
If you are happy with the sound and balance, you are then ready to go. But remember to uncheck channels 1 & 2 so your voice doesn't come on your headphones (only on the recording).
Stop any playback, press Record button and start performing!
When you are finished, just click again on Recording button, and you will see your audio file(s) appear in a file explorer window, ready to be shared.
