iShala 5 Pro Edition already allowed you to play any of the featured instruments manually, in its respective screen. Now you can make that even easier by connecting a MIDI keyboard to your phone and playing the instruments through that!
You can now toggle the addition of your voice to the audio output of the app. This allows you to better blend it with the music before starting a recording. Be careful though; you should use headphones to avoid hissing feedback.
Initially the manual harmonium always had its C (White One) key adjusted to Sa, but some users preferred to keep the natural pitch, so we made that optional. We also added a Hold Key option that keeps pressed notes playing until they are pressed again.
When playing Tanpura manually, you may want the strings to be layed out differently depending on the hand you are using for the strumming. With the tanpura facing the audience, you want the open hand to reach the first string and slowly close to reach the last one. In iShala you can now switch the order of strings by clicking a new SWITCH button on top.
You can now record your practice sessions or performances. Just click on the record button on the top bar, start the required instruments and then sing along. Stopping the playback will save the audio file in your device's Music folder, ready to be listened to and/or shared with your friends.
